Challenge

Efficient Content & Competitor Analysis: Creative strategy often relies on assumptions: Which formats work? Which hooks truly persuade? What trends are relevant – and which are just short-lived hype?

For Christopher and the team at Advertace, it was clear: To efficiently scale their clients, they needed solid data, not just gut feeling. Especially during the onboarding of new clients, there was often a lack of a systematic overview of the market:

  • What are the main competitors doing?

  • Which creatives are performing well there right now?

  • Which messages, hooks & elements are recurring?

  • Which landing pages perform the best?

  • What learnings & hypotheses can we derive from that?

The classic Meta Ad Library could only answer these questions to a limited extent. And even when they tested Foreplay as a tool, they lacked a reliable data foundation.

The wish: A tool that provides insights for content strategy – quickly, clearly, and data-driven.

Support in the Sales Process: There was also a lack of a way to analyze potential clients based on data before collaborating in the sales process. Without access to accounts, it was often difficult to make a well-founded assessment of the quality and scalability of existing campaigns.

Application & Results

Advertace has been using top-ads since the beginning of 2024 as a fixed component - both in customer work and in sales.

Content Strategy with Industry Insights: For new clients, the tool is used to analyze a comprehensive status quo of the industry. The team creates systematic Ad Breakdowns of the main competitors - including funnel structure, formats used, target audience engagement, and landing pages. Specific competitors that are not yet in the database can be easily added to top-ads, and the data flows in within a few hours.

This approach allows for a faster and more precise start to new client projects, as hypotheses are derived from market data rather than purely speculative.

Views & Inspiration Boards: For each competitor, a so-called "View" is saved, where you only see the ads of the respective competitors for a selected period.

Additionally, the team uses Inspiration Boards to collect particularly strong creatives from the competition analysis in a structured manner and to make them available for later strategy rounds, internal or external reviews.

Potential Analyses & Content Audits in Sales: Even in the sales context, top-ads is used strategically: With the help of Loom videos and content audits, the team analyzes potential clients as well as their competitors. This way, a clear added value can be communicated even before the project starts - including an assessment of the scaling potential.

This form of visualization has not only increased the success rate in sales but also facilitated internal decision-making on whether a project is truly promising.
