Advent Calendar: For Besser im Glas, Advent calendars are the most important product of the year, which is why good paid ads during this period are essential. New and good ad approaches were needed, so research began.
Disadvantages of the normal ad library: In Meta's common ad library, research is tedious. On the one hand, you can only look at individual brands, and on the other hand, you don't know which ads really perform well. This made it difficult to find and collect truly good inspiration for Advent calendar ads.
Application & Results
Inspiration: In regular time blocks, the creative team takes 30-60 minutes to conduct ad research using top-ads with competitors as well as in the overall market.
Keyword Search: With the help of keyword search, they were able to search for terms related to Christmas and Advent calendars to gather inspiration.
Additional Filters: Using the "Industry" filter, they were able to adapt additional valuable ad approaches from brands in other industries. The "Date Picker" also helps to look for inspiration for certain time periods, e.g., for Black Friday or Christmas.
